JOIN OUR TEAM

We're looking for people who have wide-open hearts and who want to help members of the community find peace in their homes. Many of our clients have some kind of mental health experience or physical impairment that causes them to struggle with daily tasks like folding laundry, sorting mail, washing dishes, emptying litter boxes, taking the trash out, etc.

Sometimes clients have a hard time letting go of items that cause them stress because…

  • "What if I need this someday?"

  • Or, "My mom bought this for my child and she'll ask about it next time she's here."

  • Or, "I have a hard time looking at my things that are from before my transition."

You need to be able to do not only the physical labor part of hauling, scrubbing, sorting, and sweeping, but also do the heart labor of listening, being empathetic, and providing judgement-free support.

As a Client Care Specialist, you must be able to:

  • Drive your own vehicle to and from appointments

  • Follow instructions

  • Use critical thinking skills to help clients formulate a plan if instructions are unclear (IE: "I just don't know where to start!")

  • Lift heavy objects (IE: moving a recliner to sweep crayons and yogurt cups from underneath it and carrying bags of trash to dumpsters)

  • Be on your feet/bend over frequently for 3 hours at a time or more

  • Work in homes that are impacted by pests and severe neglect

  • Keep track of PPE and cleaning supplies and request a restock when necessary

  • Work while the client is home and while the client is out

  • Take part in monthly team meetings on top of regular daily communication

  • Be available Sunday-Saturday 9-5, with two-to-four weekdays off of your choosing every week. (You decide how many days per week you want to work vs. you want to have off. Everyone's needs and abilities are different!)

You also must be up-to-date on your COVID-19 vaccinations and be willing to wear a mask when requested, as we work with immunocompromised clients regularly. Other immunizations are highly recommended due to the nature of our work.

The pay is $17 an hour during an initial probation period of 90 days, and $18 an hour after that (including breaks and drive time between appointments).

Within your first year, you will be trained in Mental Health First Aid and receive a certification. At that point, your pay will go up $1/hr.

Being a small company, we do not have all the fancy benefits options that larger companies have. We believe in being completely transparent about that from the start.

Our current additional compensation options and benefits are :

  • All Home Harmony-related mileage over 20 miles per day is reimbursed to you at the rate of $0.63/mile.

  • Half off our group rate for a Seven Hills Family Medicine membership for you + 2 adults of your choosing + up to 3 minors.

As we grow, we have big dreams about other benefits and increased pay. It has been hard to be realistic about what we can provide, but we hope this small benefits package will grow as our team does! We recognize that businesses are nothing without the people who show up and work hard every day, and we do our best to honor that.

This position can be hard on your body and your heart, therefore to prevent burnout we are only hiring for up to 20 hours per week at the start.

There is no difference in treatment or benefits between part time and full time workers. It is all the same work - there is no reason to pay anyone less for not working themselves to the bone.
